MIYU’s private dining at Dempsey Hill gives your group exclusive occupancy of the restaurant. Chef Ng Kam Kwan and his team dedicate the entire sitting to you — delivering the same seasonal Edomae omakase prepared for every MIYU guest, now reserved solely for yours.
With over 22 years of Japanese culinary expertise and training at Hide Yamamoto and Kacyo, Chef Kwan brings authentic Edomae technique and seasonal precision to every course. Private dining at MIYU is not a function — it is a chef-led omakase experience, set in one of Dempsey Hill’s most intimate dining rooms.

Capacity & Occasions
The MIYU counter seats 10 to 16 guests exclusively. This scale is deliberate: it ensures every guest receives direct attention from the chef throughout the meal, and that the omakase rhythm — one course at a time — is maintained for the full group.
Private dining at MIYU suits corporate lunches and business dinners, milestone celebrations (birthdays, anniversaries, promotions), client entertainment, and any intimate gathering where both food and setting matter. The Dempsey Hill location — serene, away from the CBD — provides a composed atmosphere for meaningful conversation.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can the menu accommodate dietary restrictions?
Yes. Guests who prefer no raw seafood can be placed on our cooked-food omakase — the AKAIBARA dinner menu or the AKA lunch menu. Please inform us of any restrictions when booking.
How far in advance should we book?
We recommend at least two weeks’ notice. For weekend sittings and peak periods (December, Chinese New Year, Valentine’s Day), earlier is strongly advised.
Is a deposit required?
Deposit requirements are confirmed at the time of booking. Please enquire directly for current terms.
